Chef Jamie Oliver is Coming to North America
British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is coming to North America.
The restaurant group owned by Oliver plans to open a small number of “Jamie’s Italian” sites in the United States and Canada. This is the first time the chef has established a permanent presence across the pond.
Jamie’s Italian is a concept based on offering traditional Italian food at affordable prices. On his website, Oliver describes the concept as: “I should have been Italian. There is such diversity in lifestyles, cooking, traditions and dialects. This is why as a chef I find this country so exciting and what inspired me to create Jamie’s Italian.” Menu items include:

The chain is the most successful of Oliver’s businesses, 24 sites have been opened across the United Kingdom. There’s no word yet on which locations in the US and Canada have been picked.
