Deli boots Jane Fonda sandwich off the menu

After receiving several complaints from Vietnam vets a deli in Maine has given their Jane Fonda sandwich the boot.
Big G’s Deli in Winslow has been serving the sandwich named after the actress for years. The Jane Fonda was a low-calorie sandwich made from sliced turkey, sprouts, shredded carrots, sweet peppers, cukes and fresh mushrooms. The sandwich is still on the menu, but with a new name– “41,470″ in honor of the number of U.S. combat deaths in Vietnam.
Fonda made headlines during the Vietnam war for her protests against the conflict and for a photograph taken of her sitting on a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun.
