Texas River Can Ban Ticks Off Many

Texans are blaming a lack of tourists on the Guadalupe River on a new law banning the use of cans on the water.
Yes, you can still drink while tubing on the river but you can only do so out of a reusable container and that isn’t sitting to well with people.
“People are calling saying, ‘You can’t drink in New Braunfels, so why am I coming?’” Shane Wolf, manager at the city’s dominant tube rental company, told the Associated Press.
The problem is, you see, drunken people tend to do stupid things. So city leaders are hoping the new law will tone down the merry making a little bit.
But this is serious business, tubing and other tourism related activities bring in $469 million a year to the New Braunfels economy.
Business leaders are pissed and are demanding a change, yet the people have spoken and 58 percent of the town’s residents voted in favor of the new law.
Until there’s a change, there’s always the 34 ounce “Bubba Keg.”
