Really, Really Old Chinese Wine

Fancy drinking some really, really old Chinese wine?

Archaeologists say they may have  discovered the oldest wine ever uncovered in Chinese history.  Scientists recently unearthed six wine vessels dating back to West Zhou Dynasty of 1046 BC – 771 BC. and they say they can hear a liquid sloshing around inside.

So far scientists haven’t come up with a safe way to extract the liquid because they say the vessel contains an anti-drinking device that was common to the time it was created.  The prohibition device was attached to the wine vessel as a way to encourage drinking in moderation.
