Paula Deen 30lbs Lighter

Pauls Deen is 30 pounds lighter you all!

Sporting a slimmer, er less heavy (?) body on the cover of this week’s People magazine, Deen is sharing her weight loss “secrets.”  She tells People she lost the weight by simply changing her diet — no more mashed potatoes; lots more fish and salad.

“I do think differently now” about food, she tells the magazine.  “I’m more aware,” adding “If you make a few small changes, they can add up to big results.”

The new look comes six months after Deen went on national TV to announce that she had been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.  Who could forget that awkward moment sponsored in part by drug maker Novo Nordisk’s online program, “Diabetes in a New Light,” and its pricey drug, Victoza.

So who really knows how she lost the weight.
