Monks in the United Kingdom hard-press to find extra ways to raise funds are turning to their ancient craft. The BBC reports that Benedictine monks at Ampleforth Abbey in North Yorkshire have started doing something they haven’t done in 200 years– brewing beer in the monastic tradition.
