Jackson Co. Mississippi Hates Beer

Will somebody think of the children?

The masses turned out in Jackson County, Mississippi, on Monday to protest the construction of a craft brewer.  As one civic minded citizen put it:

“I don’t want someone that has been drinking beer driving in on that road; it is a very winding road. The sheriff is going to have to increase amount of patrols they have in the area.”

Sound logic considering the fact that no beer would be sold or sampled at the brewery.

But what about another citizen’s valuable opinion?

“I am against it and I think it should be put somewhere else.”

This is not looking good, in fact it wasn’t.  The country’s board of supervisors voted Monday night against Crooked Letter Brewing Company’s plans to build a job creating, tax paying facility in their own backyard.  Because you know, can’t let those drunks have their prostitute house or some logic like that.
