out of a possible 5

Pizza night just got a little more interesting and exotic thanks to the introduction of frozen “Naan Pizzas” from the Tandoor Chef.  All natural, these pizzas are actually from India where they were baked in a tandoor oven– a traditional Indian clay oven where temperatures reach more than 1,000 degrees.

These pizzas are definitely unique and a great substitute for any flat bread pizza fan.  Preparation couldn’t be simpler, preheat the oven and then bake.  While baking a spicy aroma permeates from the oven which honestly left us scratching our heads as to what to expect on our first bite.

The pizzas have a hint of Indian spice but it isn’t overpowering.  The pizzas are cheesy enough to delight any pizza aficionado and the naan crust is crunchy.  Our favorite was the “Spinach and Paneer Cheese,” but “Roasted Eggplant” came in a very close second.  Two other varieties, “Margherita” and “Cilantro Pesto” are also available.

Somewhat “healthy,” each pizza ranges from 420 to 660 calories, these pizzas were made with vegetarians in mind.  They are made from fresh buffalo milk mozzarella, are microbial rennet and the ingredients are GMO free.
